Grian raised a brow. “Is something the matter?”
At the sound of his voice, a small change crossed Scar’s face. He relaxed a bit, mouth pulling into a polite smile. “Well, if a good kisser is all you need,” Scar said. “I’ve never gotten any complaints.”

Grian shifted again—another small movement, a thoughtless roll of his hips as he resettled. The bed creaked faintly beneath them, the sound sharp in the hush. Grian froze for half a second, then relaxed, deciding it was probably fine. If anything, it helped the illusion.
Scar, on the other hand, went very still.
His jaw tightened, eyes closing briefly as he took a slow breath, hands remaining firmly—but respectfully—at Grian’s sides. When he spoke again, his voice was even, almost too controlled. “Hey,” he said gently, breathlessly, “maybe— maybe don’t move like that.”
Grian blinked. “Oh—sorry.” He flushed, immediately trying to still himself, hands pressing into Scar’s shoulders for balance. “Did I—?”
Before Scar could answer—
BANG BANG BANG.

His breath hitched sharply.
Images flooded his mind, unbidden, vivid as lightning strikes:
Grian beneath him on the motel bed, back arching off the cheap sheets, eyes wide and dark as Scar’s hand slid lower, past the waistband of his jeans…
Grian on his knees between Scar’s legs, looking up through wet lashes, mouth pink and parted…
Grian gasping Scar’s name, fingers tangled in his hair, riding his thigh with that same restless, seeking rhythm from the party…
Scar’s hips jerked forward into his own grip, a low, involuntary groan tearing from his throat. Louder than he’d intended.
Much louder.
He froze instantly.
Eyes snapping open, his free hand slapping over his mouth, heart hammering against his ribs like a frantic drum.
The sound of the water seemed deafening suddenly, a roaring white noise filling the small space.
His breath came in shallow, ragged gasps.
Shit.

Scar has never considered himself particularly patient. Why wait and let the things he wants slip through his fingers? Oh, he can be roundabout, sure – coming at a deal head-on will just as easily scare off a potential mark, and Scar’s not in the business of losing out on trades.

Grian’s fresh off a fourth kill, hardly even at Scar’s bidding but for Scar nonetheless, and in the coming days they’ll rig this entire place to blow to high heaven and take, hopefully, at least one of their enemies with it when they come knocking. His blood sings with the anticipation of it, and he’s not sure how much of that is the siren song of his red life’s bloodlust, or the much simpler desire to see Ren and his goons get what’s coming to them.
So they need to do things right, if it’s the last time they’ll do this here.

Scar's sprawled out, his belly on full display. There's also his sheath, which Grian's seen more times than he'd care to admit, and even just the sight of that is enough to get him to flush. Worse, though, is the way he can see the tip of Scar's dick poking out.
He doesn't know why. Is it just something that happens? Scar seems unbothered by it, mainly just trying to keep himself cool in the shade. Grian swallows and forces himself to look away. He has things he needs to do, after all. If Scar wants to practically show himself off, then…fine. Whatever. If Scar got horny thinking about something, then so be it. Grian doesn't have time to think about it.
Except that now he can't really focus on anything else.
