Summary
The baby coos and kicks her foot against Harry’s chest. Nick slides his hand around Harry’s waist and pulls him closer, tucking the baby between them. Harry’s hand covers her entire back. She’s so small Nick can’t believe they even make clothes to fit her. Nick leans in and kisses Harry’s shoulder and Harry looks up at him, his eyes red and damp.
“Nick, I can’t. I’m sorry but I can’t – we can’t leave her here,” he says thickly. Nick nods because he figured this out. Hell, maybe he always knew. "You're the only family she's got, Nick, we've got to do what's best for her and at least look after her until they can find her a real home ... this place isn’t a home."

Summary
Nick’s thirty and One Direction have split. It should be the end of the world, but it's not.
Nick likes how it’s ended up between him and Harry. They’re still friends, or at least not enemies. They text and tweet and issue birthday invites that neither has any intention of accepting …The invite this year is also purely symbolic – the days when Harry Styles would cross time zones for a couple of hours with Nick Grimshaw are long gone – but things are definitely better.

End of story.” It’s already been pretty uncomplicated, Nick thinks, so really, it should be able to just keep going the way it’s been going without any kind of issues.
“If you say so,” Aimee says, and if she sounds doubtful, or mocking, or like she’s humoring him Nick chooses to ignore it.

Nick stares. He’s waiting for the punchline or for Harry to yell gotcha! and let Nick know this was all just a big joke of an idea. He keeps waiting though, and it doesn’t happen.
“So stay single until we turn thirty,” Nick says calmly. “And then if we’re thirty and not with anyone we marry each other.”
“Right.”
“Like...like in one of those terrible Mills and Boon novels my mum reads.”
“Yes,” Harry says and grins. “Exactly.”
