Summary
In every universe, Mark Grayson eventually falls in love with his best friend William. The circumstances may be different, but the feeling is always the same. However, in each universe something happens to William, leaving Mark all alone, grieving. Unable to forget their loved one, the variants accept Angstrom's offer of fulfilling their every desire, as long as they destroy another Invincible's dimension. But how are they going to be with William, if they're obstacled by themselves?

Rex was burning, until he wasn’t… Rex should maybe be hyperventilating now, but he just noticed something else important. He isn’t breathing. At all. This is some Scooby Doo bullshit!“What the fuck!” Rex shouts into the void, surprised to find his voice. “Am I dead?”
Unbeknownst to Rex, somewhere closer than he might think, words scroll across a computer screen:
