Summary

Solas looks out across the river, and for a moment he is dizzy with the way the waves beckon him, the little lies they tell in every shift of the tide. He should deny it, but he finds that he cannot.
‘Most especially me,' he says heavily.Solas is a famous detective with a troubled history dating back to the wars that destroyed his homeland. When he embarks on a cruise along the Enavuris River to pursue a lead in his most recent case, he encounters a passionate love triangle which comes to a fatal end.
Complicating the tragedy is the fact that the victim Justinia, heiress to the Chantry fortune, was murdered with Solas’ own gun. And then there’s the problem of his extremely inconvenient attraction to the prime suspect, Jacqueline Lavellan.
As the cruise continues through the wilderness, rapidly approaching the Veil that separates the south of Thedas from the mysterious north, Solas races to uncover the truth before the killer can strike again.

On the fifth night of their involuntary tadpole misadventure together, Monster Hunter Inara (Tav) clashes with the realm's most obvious vampire when he tries to take a clandestine bite of her. But as with every plan Astarion had come up in his unlife so far, it contains one step only. So what if this gremlin vampire cat actually is forced to face and deal with the consequences of his bite-y actions? Chaos and hilarity ensues, of course.
Or, tfw Astarion has slurped up the only person in camp willing to help him in spite of his vampie... everything, and now has to find a way to bring Inara back. Ideally before the others in camp wake up and bring out the stakes and torches.
A character-focused, introspective version of Bite Night and its events beyond with its serial numbers filed off, because canon is just a guideline anyway, and thus goes way beyond the mere scene. Because perhaps in between the hunger, flailing, misconceptions and bickering a first understanding between Inara and Astarion can be gained. One that actually transcended lifetimes.
Rating is for Chapter 1 only. Everything else is SFW.

Anne is a 33y woman, who lives a normal life, she just discovered Dragon Age and played all the games once, but The Veilguard she stopped when it revealed the truth about Varric. Devasted she decides to go to sleep and finish the game later; but then she awakes in Thedas, at the beginning of Inquisition, as Lavellan. She is a mage, but has no magic, doesn't know how to fight, and can't read. Prone to desperate panic attacks, and equally high ability to deal with problems and the world, she hopes to change everything, to save everyone, but is that even possible? She knows she can't romance Solas, this is not a game anymore, and he will leave, she can't go there. But why is it so hard to resist him? Solas is intrigued by the strange dalish who bears his anchor, and he cannot keep himself away, he is only protecting the anchor, he tells himself.
I updated the tags with everything that need a warning. So read the tags. Don't use archive warning because I won't go that deep, and there will be no actual rape happening, it will be stopped before.

The second fanfic I ever read that blew my mind, except it wasn't on AO3 and it wasn't the redux. I read it on fanfiction.net. I hated Mahariel at first, and how she calls him Puppy cause his childhood trauma with the dogs, but I kept reading for [the author's writing of] Alistair. Eventually, this became one of my favourite fanfics because of the character development and the eventual love shown between Mahariel and Alistair. Actually, I thought when Mahariel killed the archdemon at the end, she actually died. Cause, there were no chapters left at the time i read it and i was like... 'i shall never recover from this atrocity.' Then I came back years later to reread it, and I was pleasantly surprised when there was the ending i wanted so badly.
MHUAHAHA NOW THERE'S A REDUX!!! I AM SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!!

Her affinity for aliens, and one renegade turian in particular, becomes a problem among human-centric politicians as humanity gains a foothold in the galaxy. As time and the fate of all organic life hangs in the balance, her entanglement with the drell who changed her life further complicates matters.
The story explores multiple motifs, including a deeper look at drell, a character study of Thane, a noir loss of innocence story for Garrus/Archangel, extended turian culture and history, and a close read of Liara's transformation into the Shadowbroker. Includes expanded lore, religion, and language within the Mass Effect Universe.
