Summary
In most realities, life as heir to a draconic galactic empire would be endlessly interesting. Unfortunately for you, the patriarch of said draconic galactic empire was the best at what he did, which leaves you, his grandson, with not much conflict to have to worry about. The galaxy is united under one post-scarcity banner, and immortal dragons keep it running.
Or so you would think. Your grandfather might have been (the word 'might' is doing a lot of work there) perfect, but even he was bored by the idea of a flawless galaxy. The dragons he created to run his empire in his absence are woefully susceptible to even just basic political corruption, and you have a mind to fix that. How? You can read the title.

Summary
Tolkien gave us some fascinating female character (Éowyn, Galadriel, Arwen, Lúthien) but very little time with them, and many more of his female characters weren’t given backstories or heroic deeds or even names (see, the wives of Maglor, Caranthir, and Curufin, among others). The fandom (including me) hasn’t done as much to remedy this as we could. These are the fics where I’ve tried to give them their due, especially as POV characters and with some character study.

Summary
Across Valinor, Tirnel of the Green Elves has been looking for her son. If only there weren’t hundreds of elves named after the famous king who, by pure coincidence, happened to share his name.
Maybe Gil-galad the King can help her find her son.
--
“Tirnel,” he echoed, and it was a surprise to discover that he pronounced her name as she did, with the Nandorin vowels rather than the Sinda ones she had grown used to. He did not attempt to guess at a second name for her, as she had learned the Noldor and Vanyar were prone to doing.
