Summary
Everyone is born with a timer. He stopped looking at his years ago.
What was the point? He had spent half his life in blood and smoke and loss, watching good people die while he kept surviving. Whatever was waiting at the end of that countdown — she deserved better than what he'd become. So he buried it. Buried her, whoever she was.
She never had a timer at all.
Just a bare wrist and a lifetime of being told, in quiet ways and cruel ones, that she was wrong. Incomplete. That she simply didn't belong in a world built around a connection she would never have.
They don't meet gently — and somehow, that's exactly when everything changes.
His timer hits zero.
Her wrist, for the first time in her life, no longer matters.

Summary
For two months I worked on a collection of snippets tied to Love Between Fairy and Devil. I’ve added AU elements, and altered the timeline slightly, but they’re still very much connected to the show. It’s Orchid-centric, dreadfully wordy (I apologize for this) and unbeta’d. No summary really. If you know the show, that’s all the background necessary. I just wrote what inspired me at the time and I’m pretty happy with what I was able to achieve after years of nothing, so that’s all that matters.

Grace considered if maybe they should’ve just stayed home and waited for Tron: Ares to stream on Disney+ because, as it turned out, she was wildly unprepared for the whole theater experience with Leon. The clarity it brought to their age difference—high definition, 4K laser projected, clear and undeniable—was a hard pill to swallow.

Hyrule’s hero had kept up a stream of swears in his head, breaking into a sweat. His fingers had tightened around the cloth of his shirt. And she’d just continued — a broken hiccup here, a torturous mewl there — for what felt like an eternity.
