I'm an old who has been writing for more than half a century. I was fannish in college in the late 70s (went to some cons, wrote a few Star Wars fics for printed 'zines), then put fannish things aside for 30 years to work as technical writer until I was introduced to anime and manga and on-line fandom in 2002 (ultimately resulting in all these stories for YGO). When I retired from tech writing, I went back to writing original fiction as well as fanfiction. (I have finally stopped apologizing for the latter.) I am always happy to chat or discuss translation, remixing, podficcing, or publication; drop me an email ([email protected]).
Anyhow, here are all my Yuugiou stories, all in one place — yes, even that very first, hideous one — the epic angsty ones, the fluffy silly ones, the raunchy ones, the alternate versions, and of course the reviled Pupship fics.
My icon is the four hexagrams discussed in the bookstore scene of chapter 3 of Coming Clean. The two on the left are Kaiba's "public face" and the right are his inner self; the top two are "before" and the bottom are "after":
(UL) 17, Sui / Following (to follow an ideal - in Kaiba's case an obsession with winning) changes to
(LL) 23, Po, Disruption, splitting apart (defeat by adversaries leads to understanding)
(UR) 18, Ku / Repair (something that has been poisoned by the father; to work on what has been poisoned) changes to
(LR) 24, Fu / Return (a gradual transformation of the self; allies and friends rally to aid and support you).
