He's just moved back to Chicago after a long absence, and meeting an Alpha who can somehow tell he is single and pregnant was kind of a shock. Though he's dealing with his own issues, he thinks he might be able to fit this strange man into his life.
When Pete Wentz meets Patrick Stump, he thinks it's fate. After years of parenting his young son on his own, there's something about this unmated pregnant Omega that draws him in. Maybe it's his thick-rimmed glasses or the pleasant curve of his cheeks. Pete only knows that he has to get to know this guy.
Little did the pair know they'd have to battle much more than their own insecurities in their quest to find happiness. Will they be able to push past trauma, secrets, and the trials of parenthood? Will they discover a romantic spark? Or will they be destined to end up alone?

Joe just stares at Pete like he isn't sure whether or not he's real and Pete looks back at him with equal distrust. You couldn't even be mad about that because you knew he was right. The way he said it wasn’t cocky or self assured, it was just fact. If one of you were to succumb to a cryptid or some mutant disease or become otherwise incapacitated, one of you would find a way to fix it or work around it. The sun was a star, water was wet, and you would always find a way to make it back to Pete. That was just the way things were. It shouldn't have made your stomach backflip the way it had, but you were still opting to ignore it and snuggle your way closer to him.
