   OMG! This is super exciting. Thank you so much for doing this. I haven't finished just yet, but I immediately noticed that you have Cecil's "voice" down pat. That whole super dry line delivery? You have it. The rhythmic talking thing he does? You do it. It's really impressive how well you mimicked the cadence of the voice actor in the podcast. I could really hear Cecil in the way that you were talking. So, you know, kudos.

   Edit: Okay, so I finished it and it was just as amazing as the beginning led me to believe. Several parts made me laugh out loud. I think my absolute favorite bit was your line delivery on "with no explanation of what might have happened for anyone who may have been concerned or overcome with despair during those lost hours" which was so funny it made me rewind several times over. Seriously, the comedic timing on that was pure gold. I'm really glad you chose to do this.

   P.S. I did link back to you in the notes section of the fic and also on tumblr. Just, FYI.

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it! To be fair, I've pretty much been listening to WTNV nonstop, so I'm surprised I don't sound like Cecil all the time. I'm glad that it sounded as close as I could get to his lovely voice. I'm especially glad you liked that particular part actually; I re-recorded that about five times, trying to get it.    When I ran out of Night Vale podcasts to listen to, I started listening to this podfic in twenty-minute bursts instead, and it was DELIGHTFUL. YOUR CECIL VOICE, LET ME LOVE ON IT. Such a great Cecil voice! I laughed so many times, especially at the way you say "Steeeeve CARLSburg!" And even though the fic is Cecil's pov, you managed to portray Carlos's despair and exhaustion so well, so that I really felt for him through your Cecil-voice. IF that makes any sense. IDK I loved it.

      Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed my Cecil voice, but honestly Cecil Baldwin makes it easier because his voice is so amazing. I only hope this hopefully spurs other people to podfic WTNV fics as well!

   I love this! Thanks so much for recording it. You do a great job capturing the frustration and increasing despair and general loss of hope from Carlos as the fic goes on. Your Cecil voice is great, but the way you really brought Carlos' situation come alive was phenomenal. Well done.

It is an exercise of mindfulness in fandom engagement from January 01-15 every year, and on day three we had to recommend Transformative Works which aren't our own.

    Ah hah! I am back from the wars. First of all, thank you so much for responding and giving me the link to listen. I listened to this doing some accounts, and honestly, you made the work so much more palatable! Can you please narrate my life? For serious. I love your Cecil voice. You get his longing for Carlos, his ability to be shocked at the goings on of Nightvale (although it's been old hat). Then there's the wink about what they did that night when they didn't speak (ooohhhkayyy, Cecil? Saying this on national radio? I cannot). I liked how you got Carlos' voice and voice patterns via Cecil's narrative. It was like... a performance in a performance, in that you had the different nuances of the various voices.

    The plot is pretty complex, but you really got the speaking of it. In that I could follow the plot, enjoy your performance, and feel bad for Carlos as the story went on. Even though Cecil is all, (paraphrasing) "He's unkempt, unwashed, is becoming a broken man in front of my eyes but --- STILL A HOTTIE!" which had me cracking up even though the subject was serious, with everyone dying around them (and Carlos himself) all the time.

    Thank you again for giving me the link to listen. Thanks for the performance and the time that went into this. Your voice is clear, the performance, perfect and the sound quality as clear as anything. Thank you again!
